TRAINING COURSES OF WORKING AT EIGHTS TECHNICIANS

Course I – Basic Training
Training of personal that has the responsibility of executing basic work at eights, for instances, at costumer services
level and/or its control, auditing, surveying/measurements, construction, maintenance and structure remodelling,
these situations shouldn’t involve its suspension and resource to rope access techniques and/or Basic Rescue
Operations.

GOALS
At the end of the course trainees should be able to:
- Observe, audit and carry out safety and prevention rules for working at eights;
- Act accordingly when taking part in basic work at eights, using and maintaining individual and group equipments
  wisely selected.

PROGRAMMATIC CONTENT

- Fall prevention PPEs and Basic Work at Eights
- PPEs types, Legislation, Rules and Directives
- In effect Portuguese and European Rules
- Individual Systems: fall prevention components and equipments
- Group Systems: permanent and temporary Vertical and Horizontal Life lines
- Temporary Vertical Life Lines: work and safety lines
- Company and user responsibility
- Fall prevention harness collocation and adjustment with its components
- Progression and safety positioning with or without Life Lines
- Using permanent and/or mechanic elevation means
- Usage, maintenance and storing fall prevention EPPs

ADDRESSEES
Company workers who have Work at Eights direct execution responsibility or workers who carry out the control of
this activity within their inside collaborators or outsourcing collaborators.

DURATION
8 to 12 Hours (4 hours theory and 4 to 8 hours practice).
